A unique stay, as the house is filled with eclectic items and books, some of which the host has written. We stayed in a room where several celebrities (including Pierre and Maggie Trudeau) had stayed previously.
We stayed here for two nights after landing in Masset. The room was just as described and very cozy. We didn’t realize the breakfast included was going to be this big of a spread. Homemade sourdough bread and yogurt, freshly made quiche, sausages, and a big variety of stewed fruits. After riding our bikes all day and returning in the afternoon, Sunnie had put out homemade scones and bananas. Sitting out on the deck to read was lovely. The location is super convenient as well. Highly recommended!

We spent 6 nights at Copper Beech House in the Harbor Master's Keep last August and couldn't have had a better experience! The location was perfect for multiple daily beach treasure hunt walks. The private entrance was perfect for taking the dog and toddler out without having to disturb any other guests. Sunnie's daily breakfast spreads blew us away and her excitement to come up with new things for our daughter to try showed her love for what she does and was hospitality you don't find often these days. We would absolutely stay here again!
Was only there for 1 night but wish it had been longer. Had a wonderful time. The atmosphere was great, loved the decor, and the caretaker, Chelsea, and breakfast was just right. I stayed in the Chadwick Room, which has an interesting story that goes along with it. And the location, beside a marina, was so beautiful. Would recommend it.
Highly recommended for anyone, singles, couples and small families. Friendly and accommodating service, great breakfast and awesome location close to services and not far from the beach. Sunnie was a fantastic host and Susan is full of stories and great books.
Lovely room for two nights. All the amenities. Kettle, tea, coffee maker with ground coffee, fridge, pots and pans, hot plate, plates, and cutlery. Just bring yourself. Very comfortable king-sized bed. Very quiet. Make sure you read the red binder.
I was in Haida Gwaii for two weeks for work, and absolutely loved how welcoming Copper Beech House was. It was quiet and I could catch up on work and sleep! I lost my phone hiking in Tow Hill, and Susan went above and beyond and my phone is begin to be shipped to me. I will definitely be returning with my family, highly recommend staying here.
